Off-White (stylized as Off-WhiteTM or OFF-WHITE c/o VIRGIL ABLOH) is an Italian luxury fashion company created by Virgil Abloh, an American designer. 

In 2012, the firm was established in Milan. Virgil Abloh launched the firm in 2012 as “PYREX VISION” in the Italian city of Milan.

Abloh then relaunched the firm as Off-White, which he characterized to the fashion industry as “the grey space between black and white as the color off-white.” 

The beautiful clothes collections have appeared at Paris Fashion Week and are available in Hong Kong, Tokyo, Milan, London, the United Kingdom, and New York. Off-White 

Farfetch owner José Neves paid $675 million for New Guards Group, the parent company of Off-White, in August 2019.

In July 2021, LVMH Mot Hennessy Louis Vuitton announced that it will acquire a 60% share in Off-White, with founder Virgil Abloh, who was the creative director of menswear for Louis Vuitton at the time, keeping the remaining 40%. 

Nike, Levi, Rimowa, Jimmy Choo, Ikea, Moncler, Browns, Warby Parker, SSENSE, Sunglass Hut, Heron Preston, ASAP Rocky, Byredo, Boys Noize, Le Bon Marché, Asspizza, and Kerwin Frost have all collaborated with Off-White. 

They also collaborated with the Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago The firm cooperated with Levi’s main line, Made & Crafted, and launched twelve pieces, six of which were unisex, in Fall 2016 and Winter 2017.

In early 2017, the brand cooperated with Nike on a sneaker line called “The Ten,” which included Air Jordans, Converse, Nike Air Max, Nike Air Force One, and Nike Blazers shoes.

In 2017, the firm worked with Champion to create sixteen different pieces of clothing, including tracksuits, hoodies, fleeces, and t-shirts.

The firm has teamed with ASAP Rocky’s label AWGE in August 2017. They also collaborated with Jimmy Choo in 2018 to develop a Summer-Spring collection inspired by Lady Diana, former Princess of Wales. 

During the Fall 2018 and Winter 2019 seasons, the firm teamed with Sunglass Hut on a unisex sunglasses line named “For Your Eyes Only.” The firm teamed with SSENSE on a line of fitness apparel in March 2019. 

On June 5, 2018, the firm debuted its cooperation with Rimowa, a limited edition transparent suitcase. Following the success of the first collection, a second collection featuring two RIMOWA x Off-White transparent suitcases will be released in October 2018. 

Abloh died of cardiac angiosarcoma on November 28, 2021, at the age of 41. The diagnosis was kept private and was seen as a huge loss to the fashion industry.
