Rag & Bone is an American fashion label founded by Marcus Wainwright, who is originally from the United Kingdom. The brand is available in over 700 outlets worldwide, and also Rag & Bone retail stores.
Nathan Bogle and Marcus Wainwright launched Rag & Bone in 2002. The label debuted with a men’s line in 2004, backed by a women’s line in 2005. Bogle departed the firm in 2006, and David Neville, who joined in 2005, had become an associate with Wainwright.
Rag & Bone Footwear was formed in 2008 with the assistance of footwear designer Tull Price, the previous owner of Royal Elastics and the present founder of FEIT.
The D.I.Y. Project, created in Spring 2011 for Rag & Bone /JEAN, attempted to turn the usual photo session on its head. As part of an ongoing creative endeavor, each girl is provided a camera phone, a suitcase of garments, and the same assignment: to express Rag & Bone / JEAN in their unique manner. Miranda Kerr, Jessica Hart, Lily Aldridge, Poppy Delevingne, Abbey Lee Kershaw, and Candice Swanepoel were among those involved.
From this project, Wainwright got the notion to attempt to produce a brand of men’s jeans in New York in 2001, which led them to Kentucky, where he collaborated with such a manufacturer for nearly two years to refine his design.
That event, he says, influenced the brand’s ideology. Rag & Bone now sells readily available for men and women, jeans, shoes, and collectibles. The Newbury boot is part of Rag & Bone’s footwear collection. In place of a fashion presentation, they invited people from the company such as Jerry Seinfeld, Carmelo Anthony, Camille Rowe, and Alex McWatt for a portrait picture series taken by Andreas Laszlo Konrath for their SS15 menswear line.
Wainwright and Neville, who had earlier spoken at the WWD Menswear Summit, became visiting presenters at the WWD CEO Summit in October 2015, where they addressed the brand’s direction and store presence, especially their recently established NY idea store, the General Store.
Rag & Bone entered the perfume market in October 2016 with the release of a range of eight unisex Eau de Parfums. Oddity, Amber, Cypress, Rose, Encens, Oud, Bergamot, and Neroli were among the scents.
Rag & Bone also secured the first-ever eyeglasses licensing arrangement in October 2016 alongside Italian eyeglasses designer Safilo Group, which commenced in January 2018.

Rag & Bone is a sustainable luxury company that redefines urban style by emphasizing local manufacturing and sustainability. The business began as a denim label, and its roots were also steeped in a love of casual wear, such as t-shirts and jeans.
Are rag and bone an expensive brand?
Prices range from $190 to $375, but as with any other designer, you may frequently find amazing prices on their goods, whether on their website or at a department store like Nordstrom or Bloomingdale’s.
The denim has some elasticity without being stretched out, and it does not fade or tatter like many other premium denim brands. You get exactly what you paid for.
One reason many rag&bone pieces are more expensive is that the bulk of things are created in the United States, therefore greater labor costs affect consumer prices. You can check out the prices and their famous jeans from the link of their official website below.
